The private sector in Bohol would now attempt to venture into reforestation program, through the PSALM Project, that could be sustained even beyond the 25 year period of the lease agreement. Included in the Provincial budget for 2009, the STARS project is a brainchild project of the Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Provincial SMED Council. The project desires to conduct a Skills Training Program that will ultimately provide self-employment opportunities to capable and qualified individuals who are unemployed in the 1,109 barangays in the province and expected to generate 22,180 self-employment opportunities.
