Leadership and Dynamism

BCCI has a secretariat, composed of an Executive Director and a staff. It now holds office at NIA Compound, Dao District, Tagbilaran City. It has One Hundred Sixty-Six dynamic members actively participating in all activities organized by the chamber, a modest increase of 17 members from year 2006.

BCCI is in the forefront of instituting advocacy programs which geared towards enhancing the business climate especially the tourism industry in the Province of Bohol. It has been actively involved in matters related to the promotion of trade and investments.

BCCI’s stands and comments on local and national issues pertaining to taxation, power and water utilities, wage increase, agrarian reforms, peace and order, tourism, community and social responsibility, and importance of food safety.

The Chamber has established strong linkages and networking with local and provincial government-line agencies and has always been consulted in every venture that the City and Provincial Government undertakes. The BCCI President represents the Chamber in the following committees and councils:

  • The Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry not just assesses the shortcomings of the City and Provincial Government but also recognizes and commends individuals and organizations that have gone out of there way to contribute to the progress, safety and well-being of the community and the city as a whole. Photos below show the awarding of cash and certificates to the groups and individuals as an offshoot to the robbery incident of the Bank of Commerce – Tagbilaran branch last Aug. 28, 2007 after which, the suspects were summarily apprehended.
