Digital Bohol

The Digital Bohol Summit held last October 14-15, highlighted with the launching of Digital Bohol through a Pledge vowed by the multi-stakeholders who promised to support the development of the IT –BPM Industry in the province.  The pledge was administered by Provincial Governor Edgar M. Chatto.

The Digital Bohol with the theme “Harnessing ICT, Powering Bohol”,  is an initiative of a quadripartite collaboration led by the Provincial Government of Bohol, the City Government of Tagbilaran, The Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bohol ICT Council. The event was graced by a keynote message from Mr. Mon Ibrahim, Executive Consultant to the Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). Other speakers who shared their best practices, innovations, trends and industry updates were Winston Damarillo, OCEAN16 organizer; Jonathan de Luzuriaga, President of Philippine Software Industry Association, Jhonny Paul Lagura, CEO of RIS Phils.; Genesis Rana of the University of the Visayas New School of Arts and Design; Claire Fernandez of DICT Visayas; Kristelle Ong, CEO of the Phil. Call Center Institute; Former Sec.Jericho Petilla of Tacloban City; Iriga City Mayor Felix Alfelor; Atty Jocelle Batapa-Sigue of Bacolod City and Jun Saa, NICP Chair/ Executive Director of Cebu CEDFIT.

BCCI President Engr. Albert Uy,  is the TWG Chair of the Digital Bohol.  He delivered the Closing Message / Wrap-up of the Digital Summit during the first day of the event held at the Metro Center Hotel.
